Our statement of purpose is based on the WCHA: “We are an informal group dedicated to the preservation, restoration, construction, study and use of wooden canoes.”

Mill Park and Old Fort Western Craft Show and Demonstrations. Wooden Canoes at Fort Western. I will have paddle making, seat caning, etc. I hope to have someone bring boats in process of being built or restored. The Penobscot Museum is letting us use a Birch Bark Canoe for display.
