Our canoes are based on designs popular with early explorers whereas our kayaks are based on Aleut and Inuit designs as researched and cataloged by author / anthropologist David Zimmerly. A single canoe or kayak can take a month or more to build and is a source of pride for the owner, whether used for display or for paddling on a quiet lake.
